God is Great! He has given Jim his best day! Looks like he has turned the tide and Jim is on his way to recovery. The most we heard from the doctor today was that Jim’s quads are firing, which means something is happening but they do now what. He did say he has no coordination but something is going on.

So many good things. But to start off Jim had a long night, he could not sleep. After that it went all up hill.

We got the call that Grandpa Fred said he thought Jim was doing even better than last night.

We then received the call that Jim was being feed 1 small ice chip at a time from Jim Mom , Sue and Shirley. Along with hearing that the CT scan they did the night before was negative.

From there we drove over. We walked in and he was tilted up slightly by the bed and when he saw you, there was a huge smile. His eye’s were very wide open.

Jenny would ask him to move each hand and he did a little. The she asked him to move his feet and he did. Both the toes and wiggle his feet a little. You would look at him and he would be with a slight smile as big as he could make it. He could move his head left and right.

He mouthed words of things he wanted. He watched the sports when they talked about the Bears. He told me he could see the TV well.

He asked for a shower?
He asked for something to eat?
He asked for a Soda?
He asked for Ice and now they have said no, they can’t do that anymore.

Then for a while we could not figure out what he wanted, and then it was clear. He wanted to know what he could or had to do to speed up everything. How good was that. You knew his mind was in the game.

He asked for a shower from Sherry with the wash cloth, she rang the water out of it onto his head. He would just close his eyes and smile best he could with Tubes still in mouth and nose.

All your prayers have worked, keep them coming! Jim still has a long way to go but at least he is headed thank God in the right direction.

Jim’s father and wife, along with his Sister is in the room now seeing him for the first time in 5 days. This time will be special I am sure.
