Jim’s progress seemed slow to almost everyone today until I asked him if he was still seeing double. Answer was no. That was exciting to hear. Good news for the day.
Jenny asked him if he felt any numbness anywhere and he said no, more good news.
Other than the two good things to build on Jim continues to be the same with his hands and feet. Very little movement. We placed a little stuffed dog under one hand and he petted it with two fingers.
Today Jim will have his trake for the venting machine. He also will have his feeding tube relocated to his abdomen area. These should be a good thing for him. This should happen sometime late morning.
Jim’s spirits are low. He has been waiting for the trake for days. His anxiety is very high. They are giving him med’s for his anxiety and depression.
One of the things the nurse said yesterday is that it is common to have high blood pressure and elevated temperature with the GBS.
I think it is catching up on Jenny some, today she has taken off so she can be with him for his procedure and hopefully see some of the doctors this morning. Going to be a long day for her today.
Thanks for all your continued prayers, they are truly appreciated by so many and needed.
John
