Jim has his nights and days mixed up and they are trying to convert that back. He did not sleep well thru the night like everyone had hoped. They are holding back on the meds that would make him rest and relax. They also are leaving the lights on. Something I did not see until yesterday is that he has a window right by the head of his bed. The curtain had been drawn and lots of equipment in front of it.
One of the doctors can in and listed to his lungs this morning and told Jim he was taking the antibiotic away. His white blood count was doing better and they think the antibiotics is what was giving him the fever.
They placed Jim in another bed like chair. It adjusts differently than the bed. They will use this to gradually put him into sitting up. When they did this they were happy that his blood pressure did not go up nor his heart rate.
I forgot to tell you all yesterday he is able to have those breath strips in his mouth. That allows him to taste something but he is not allowed to eat anything. He can have Ice from time to time.
Jim’s Sunday was mostly spent sleeping, probably from being awake so much on Saturday and Friday night that it caught up to him. Jenny worked with him on stretching.
Not much to report, but at least nothing is on the down side.
Let’s pray Jim has another good day. His good friend Matt is spending the morning with him.
John
