Jim remains in ICU. Probably will be there for a while. Jim’s recovery is progressing slowly.
Yesterday they were still reviewing his blood. The took several sample’s again. Hopefully today they will have results and start him on his MED’S to get his red blood cells jump started.
Jim was told yesterday that he will have to keep the ventilator for a while. Because of that they will have to do a trake (spelling?) that will move his tube from mouth to neck and his feeding tube to his abdomen. This is not a bad thing nor a good one. It is both as the bad thing he has to remain on it and the good thing it will make him more comfortable and maybe help him communicate with everyone esp. the nurses. Jim will have his consult today and probably have the trake tomorrow.
Jenny says she thinks that his hands might be moving a bit more and were stronger.
Jim’s anxiety remains extremely high. Probably about as high as it would be for all of us in the same position.
Jenny did not spend the night with Jim Monday. Jim told her to stay at 11 30 and then sent her home at 12 30. Jim did well and Jenny was able to get to hospital at 8 30 and hear what the doctors had to say. I know this helped Jenny.
Jim’s mother and grandmother are back for the rest of the week. They will stay with him during the day.
All this information comes from Jenny and Nicole as we did visit last night.
