Last night on our walk into Jim’s room he held up his right hand and says hello. Just was a priceless moment. I sure wish you all could have been there.

He is able to talk for several words but then runs out of strength, but that soon will bet better. The smile on his face was so neat.

Beside that I can let you know they have taken the vent machine out of his room. They have replaced the large tube at his trake with a smaller one. That along with a cap on the end allows him to talk. Most of this is done for precautionary reasons, incase something goes wrong over the next couple days. Then they plan to remove the trake. Jim remains on a very light amount of oxygen that is connected to his nose. Much more comfortable for him.

For lunch yesterday, and I did say lunch Jim had some mashed potatoes and liquid. Said they tasted pretty good, but like the drinking the best. He probably had more but I do not recalled what it was. For dinner while we were there to enjoy it along with Mike, Jenny and Nicole he has some small amount of sloppy joe, (it did not taste well) some more mashed potatoes, along with some pasta. It was chassed with a glass of milk and a couple scoops of Ice cream.

What a day it was and it is not done yet. He road his motorized wheel chair to Phyiscal Therapy. That was fun he shared. First time out in public for some time, what a feeling that was for him.

Now what was the big part of Jim’s night sleep changed with they moved him out of ICU sometime after AM. He remains on the same floor very close to the first room he was in over a month ago. It is a private room and probably the largest. I think this is mostly because of his care givers at the hospital. They loved him and would do anything for him.

Oh ya word is Jim will be getting a new phone from work soon. That will be great. Maybe he can get a computer so emails can be done.

Jim’s Dad returned to town yesterday afternoon, he had big smiles that is for sure. Jim’s grandmother returned from hospital in Rockford where they live after a short bought with Phenomena. That is more to say thanks for.

A very big special thanks to Sue, Sherry sister for taking two days out of her busy schedule to spend Tuesday and Wednesday with Jim and help Jenny and Nicole. What a special Angel!

The All Mighty One continues to answer our prayers, Lets keep them coming!

John
