The morning brings all the Praise to our Lord!

Jim’s update brings unreal news. Sherry and I picked Jim up at the hospital on the way into Peoria yesterday morning. Some of the roads in town had not been plowed yet after approx. 10 inches of snow. Jenny had not been out on the roads in two days so she asked that we pick him up.

The Nurse was very helpful in getting the paper work complete. The day before (Friday) OSF would not let anyone go home. They were on lockdown for the day. More than half the staff could not get into the hospital.

Jim goes home walking ok, not 100 percent but he can get around. Stairs are very tough, one step at a time. He has some numbness in his hand and feet. Stamina is not well at all. This will take time just like when he went home back in March.

Jim will just use the stairs twice a day. Once going down in the morning and once going up in the evening. They have a two story with the shower and bedrooms upstairs. He is not allowed to drive the car until the doctor releases him. He has no other limits, listen to his body and take extra care. He will go to PT at IMPR where Jenny works, three days a week MWF.

Barkley  was very excited to have Jim home, he spent a lot of time thru the day on Jim’s lap. Jim will help Jenny decorate the Christmas tree.

Jenny is excited that Jim is home. She had a sonogram this week and the picture shows what we all think is a hand. She helped  shovel snow for a couple hours when we got there. She loves the snow. Most of the snow around the cars parked in the drive. The snow stacked up on that side of the house pretty deep. The one car had a minimum 24”of snow and over the hood. Reminded me of growing up in Wisconsin. With the cars in drive it is harder to clean the drive off. The Front door stairs was probably 36” deep.

Home was the goal for weeks and yesterday that was meet. Praise God for giving the Doctors the knowledge to help Jim, Praise God for Nurses for know how to keep giving smiles to their patients, Praise God for the Strength Jim was given to Fight the Fight, Praise God for the patience that Jenny had to be such a huge support for Jim, Praise God for all the safe travel for those who traveled, Praise God for the Answered Prayers by all the care givers from far and close by.

Thank You Lord for you are Great!

Welcome home Jim.

Oh ya how about the sonogram picture we saw yesterday of the baby that we thought showed a hand. Praise God! Jenny continues to feel fine with no sickness.
